The event house of Dunedin's 1927 Donald Ross golf course — a Scottish-flavored ballroom dinner on a championship course restored to its original lines.
Dunedin Golf Club is the kind of venue golf-literate guests will not stop talking about: a Donald Ross course that opened on New Year's Day 1927, served as home of the PGA of America from 1945 to 1962 and host to eighteen Senior Tour Championships, and was fully restored to Ross's original design in 2024. The Highland House is the club's restaurant and event operation, and it carries the course's Scottish accent into the party.
The Edinburgh Ballroom does the heavy lifting — 4,000 square feet, dance floor and AV included, up to 200 guests — with the Donald Ross Room holding intimate dinners at 40 and a full buyout stretching to 300. The kitchen cooks scratch-made and seasonal, in formats from plated dinners to day-after brunch. No water view here; the trade is a century of golf history and a course that looks the way its architect drew it.
